Re: Oura data sync problems

There will be no change here in the moment as the API really makes it hard to have a "good" sync with them.
I'm not able to reproduce the problem you have with the oura sync of my account. If I get some more feedback from other users I will then take a look at it, but as not many users haven an Oura ring we cannot put more work into this in the moment

Re: Oura data sync problems

Hi Michael,

I know that you do not want to spend time on this anymore but I found the origin of the bug, so I am putting it here for reference.

If it does not happen to you it is because you are too wise and never get to sleep after midnight ;).

If I start to sleep after midnight my night data gets saved under the next day, you can see it here:

Re: Oura data sync problems

The bug is still present, when my bed time is after midnight, my oura scores are not populated properly.
To illustrate this, I have a score for every nights in my oura data, however here is the data in Runalyze:

Re: Oura data sync problems

Oura refactored their API (completely new version). We plan to integrate it until the end of februrary 2023

Re: Oura data sync problems

Thanks Michael,

let me know when the integration of the new API is done. I would check if I observe the same issue.

Re: Oura data sync problems

We are waiting for a missing part of the new API to migrate existing Connections to the new one. Everything else is more or less prepared

Re: Oura data sync problems

I confirm that the issue is solved. I can go to bed after midnight without consequences now ;). Thanks

Re: Oura data sync problems

a quick question if what i notice currently is related to it.
for my setup (sleep from oura to runalzye) it's not 100% clear yet when sleep data will be synchonized with the date when you wake up of when you go to sleep.. it feels random so that i sometimes have two big sleep blocks for one day, and some gaps where i have nothing..
i currently always try to clean this up, but feels like a bug?

if yes, it seems not yet to be fixed. for sure it for me has nothing to do with midnight. i also see gaps if i went to bed always before midnight.

should i do some more analysis / provide more logs?

best and keep up the good work,
thomas
