Oura data sync problems

Today I have checked my sleep score early and went back to bed. My score changed drastically after that but in runanalyze it seems that only the first series of data has been uploaded. How often does runanalyze checks for new data. It been more that one hour now and still the previous data row remains (but at least no multiple rows for the same day anymore)

The check is not regularly and there is no time we could tell as there is a bit more logic. As long as Oura is not able to ping us for "new data information" we don't want stress their API.
I will check it myself if I can improve something when I get my Oura ring.

Normally it shouldn't even ask twice for the same day in the moment. As the documentation never said that sleep data is not final it's implemented that way.

That is the problem, if it does not ask twice it won’t get the updated information for the same day.
If you check your sleep data on the oura app at 5am and go back to sleep until 10am the data loaded on runanalyze will be the one when you finished your sleep at 5am, which is completely off.
So Oura user have to make sure they look at their sleep data only when they finished sleeping.

We can improve it a little bit in the future, but as we don't get notifications for new data it's hard to get updates. Asking an API manually these days is a bad design for continuous data. In the moment Oura doesn't want to change/add something for pinging external services for new data. With the growing number of users it's not getting better with manual APIs

Yes, I totally understand the rational behind your solution. I am just documenting the possible problem with respect to the data validity. The problem would be more on the Oura side, but I am not sure they have the incentives to provide an API with updates notification.

As I have now my own Oura Ring it's easier for me to debug the issue and do a better integration into Runalyze.
I saw myself the duplicate sleep sync this morning with Oura and will check it again.

With the last fix I notice that I am missing the sleep data for some day even if I have data for every night in the oura app. See below.

There was a problem in the last x days since a wrong fix. There won't be a retrospective sync of the missing ones. We did a bugfix yesterday and we are monitoring the next syncs.

We did a resync for Oura sleep data after 2021-11-05 and reimported the data and deleted the existing entries.
