First of all, great product!

Regarding the weather, with 10y of data, I have not a single activity recorded where the weather in Runalyze is "Sunny". Could it be? Even when I ran in places like Doha, the Algarve and Johannesburg where I clearly remember not a single cloud in the sky during the whole day. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Well - All the data relies on https://darksky.net/ (Unfortunately we will have to look for another API soon, because Apple has bought the company and is closing down.)
But there's not much we can do about the data. One change that is still pending is that we will query the weather at the middle of the activity and not at the beginning.
We hope to be able to offer the weather data in the long run for all for free. The weather data is quite expensive in the mass.

the Norwegian weather service does encourage developers to integrate their data: https://developer.yr.no/
unfortunately I think their data is geographically limited to north of Europe

Apple just released their Weather API based on darksky which we will use in the future
