Effective v02 max calculation issue

Tue 1. Sep 2020, 10:48

Hey Runalyze,

My apologies if this is how its intended to work, but I saw some strange behaviour with effective VO2 max calcs this morning and suspected it might be an inconsistency.

My effective VO2 max as calculated yesterday (31st Aug) was 53.7 as shown in the following:

This morning I ran with a reported VO2 max value of 54.81, as shown in the following:

However, the effective VO2 max calcs now indicate a reduction down to 52.89 - which seems to be inconsistent with my expectations of this value remaining around 53.7, or perhaps slightly increasing. Shown here:

Average VO2 max calcs do seem to remain consistent though:

Is this intended behaviour or perhaps a bug?

Thanks,

-David

The 'old' plot (where ctl/atl/trimp are shown as well) may be wrong by one day. It shows 52.9 for 02.09.

You can see the current effective VO2max in your calculations panel which shows 52.89 which is today's value (and I'd ignore the difference to 52.7 in the running performance status view, that may be due to some roundings somewhere).

The fact that your shape is going down although your today's activity is > 53, is because your (duplicate) activity from 02.08. with an effective vo2max of > 66 is not considered for your shape anymore.

Thanks for looking. It seemed confusing. I'll remove the duplicate and take a look what happens, especially as I add more runs.
