Garmin RPE and Feeling

Garmin now asks some sort of RPE and Feeling at the end of each activity, with the new firmware on the 245, 745 and 945.

Is this present in the API? Do you have plans to import it to Runalyze activities?

Re: Garmin RPE and Feeling

We already asked for an example file at https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2021/04/fea ... nt-3771135 - so far without any success. If there's anyone with an example file: Please share.

The API doesn't seem to include it in the moment

Re: Garmin RPE and Feeling

I saw Ray already replied you. Do you want my fit file also? I have already 2 real activities, although it won't matter much for your purpose.

Re: Garmin RPE and Feeling

Yep, my activity from lunch time already has values! Nice.

Some comment regarding scale. You have 15 values, Garmin has 10, so some mapping has to be done,

I rated 4/10 in Garmin (Somewhat Hard). In Runalyze I got 6/15 (11-Light). I'm guessing that you did 4/10*15 which is 6 (6th value of the scale).

In Runalyze scale I should have choosed 13 - Somewhat HArd.

Maybe some tuning to the mapping?

Re: Garmin RPE and Feeling

Nope, it's hard coded we just said
0 = 6
1 = 7
2 = 9
3 = 10
4 = 11
5 = 13
6 = 14
7 = 16
8 = 17
9 = 18
10 = 20

I will have a chat with Hannes if we adjust it or leave it as it's now.
