Calculation vertical ratio not correct?

Sat 15. May 2021, 16:08

Hi,

Vertical ratio is calculated as vertical oscillation / step length (one step L or R) in Runalyze. Normally this should be divided by stride length (stride = two steps L AND R).

Could it be that the vertical ratio formula is incorrect?

Can you cite any source that supports your claim, especially one that clearly distinguishes between step length and stride length? The vertical ratio I see for my runs in Runalyze is exactly the same as reported by Garmin.
