I am looking at the elevation correction for the VO2Max estimation of a mountain running race I did recently.
I see that for 2518m of ascent and 2533m of descent, you add 2.5km to the distance. This value seems very low to me. My rule of thumb is always to add 1km per 100m of ascent when ascent = descent. I might be a bit generous but that fits well when i compare the equivalent distance on flat road.
Am I the only one to think that?
